BBDO Malaysia_creativeteam.jpgBBDO and Proximity Malaysia was the most awarded Malaysian advertising agency at the recent AdFest 2014, with a gold, two silvers, three bronze Lotus Awards and a finalist mention across multiple categories for their work for KFC and U Mobile.

BBDO scored a gold Lotus Award in the Best Use Of Mobile category along with two silvers in Mobile Marketing and Mobile Applications and a bronze for Best Use Of Games, all for their KFC “Phone Stack app”, which challenged and rewarded people to make conversation away from their phones while at KFC outlets.

“Our award-winning work is the result of continuous collaboration between our rising creative talents and our clients who are open to game-changing ideas that challenge the way we think and interact with brands,” says BBDO Executive Director CK Tan, who joined the agency from Ogilvy & Mather in April last year.

“We are blown away by these wins,” says BBDO Managing Director Michelle Achuthan, who revamped the agency from the ground-up early last year by infusing it with new talent and a renewed creative vigour. “To receive recognition and approval on an international level for the direction our agency is now heading is incredibly encouraging news for both our team and our clients.”

These accolades further cement BBDO’s comeback to the award circuit, notably after the agency’s big Golden Kancil win at the recent Kancil Awards 2013 last November.
