The Effie Awards’ mission is to honour the most outstanding marketing communication works that demonstrate insightful strategy, outstanding creativity and proven results in meeting strategic objectives.
This year’s awards continues to utilise the new tiered judging process in line with international standards for the second year running. This includes two rounds of judging with a total of 36 judges. Headed by Ben Lightfoot, CEO of McCann Worldgroup Singapore, a jury comprising Singapore’s leading senior advertising and marketing professionals whittled down 63 entries to the 19 finalists, which advanced to a final phase of judging to debate and determine this year’s grand winners.
“The Singapore Effie Awards remain the only competition that honours locally created work at a global level, making winning an Effie a global symbol of achievement,” said Lightfoot. “This year’s finalists demonstrated true partnership between agency and client to innovate within the category, creating campaigns that build the brand as well as the results. On behalf of Effie and the jury, I would like to congratulate all finalists.”
Shiv Moulee, Jury member and Chief Solutions Officer at Millward Brown, AMAP said, “It’s an honour to be involved in this year’s Singapore Effies awards. By celebrating Singapore’s most effective campaigns, winners are encouraged to perform better and peers can learn from each other to create even more outstanding campaigns.”
Edward Pank, Jury member and Managing Director, Warc commented, “As the marketing and media landscape becomes ever more complex, the pursuit of effectiveness and proving the return becomes all the more challenging. This year’s entries provide a comprehensive range of best practice on how brands can meet and exceed their given objectives in the Singapore market. The cases that rose to the top were those that told an engaging story around a fresh idea and insight that concluded with convincing results.”
