HondaBlade.jpgDirector Mark Toia has combined with Seven Sunday Films to create a dynamic and action packed new campaign for the new Honda Blade 125, via agency Dentsu Strat, Jakarta.

Shot at the Sepang F1 Circuit in Malaysia over two days, the film features Marc Márquez i Alentà, the Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle road racer and current MotoGP world champion as the films antagonist. The production wasn’t without problems however, when Marc Marquez broke his leg two days before principal photography was scheduled to begin during a dirt-track training accident.

With the rider subsequently unable to travel the ever-resourceful Toia opted to shoot a body double and use post replacement to effortlessly bring Marc Marquez to Sepang. Following the principal shoot the Seven Sundays team travelled to Barcelona and shot Marc on greenscreen for the key close ups and dialogue delivery. With his extensive post expertise Toia had an exact understanding of what shots and angles were required for the two sets of images to be stitched together to produce a seamless result.

The final film was given audio polish with a sophisticated sound scape and music track composed at Genuine Music of Chicago. The result thrilled both the agency & client and rounded off a great shoot with a great finished film.

The film was the first produced through Seven Sunday’s newly opened Malaysian office and bodes well for the continuing success and expansion of the Seven Sundays brand through the Asian region.
