10 Asian entries shortlisted at the finalist round of the Cannes Radio category – Singapore nets 5
The Radio shortlist for the Cannes Lions has just been released and Asia has a total of 10 finalists this year.
The jury, headed by Tony Hertz, judged 1448 entries from 57 countries to come up with a shortlist of 146.
There are ten shortlists from Asia, Singapore leads with 5 shortlists, followed by India and The Philippines with 2 each and Thailand with 1 shortlist.
Asia’s ten finalists are:
TBWA\Singapore has 2 shortlists for Energiser ‘Cat’ and ‘Kids’
BBDO Proximity Singapore has 2 shortlists for Olympus Malaysia ‘Cheetah’ and ‘Justin’
DDB Group Singapore has 1 shortlist for Mediacorp Radio ‘Radio Bike Lane’
McCann Worldgroup India has 1 shortlist for Tatra.com ‘The Finder’
JWT Mumbai India has 1 shortlist for Mukti Foundation ‘Police Station’
DDB DM9JaymeSyfu The Philippines has 1 for Cignal ‘Bron’
Ace Saatchi & Saatchi The Philippines has 1 for Pampers Diapers for ‘ZZZ Radio’
BBDO Proximity Thailand has 1 shortlist for Mars ‘Action Trailer’
Jury President this year is Tony Hertz, Owner & Creative Director at Tony Hertz: Radio & Brand Sound, The Philippines. On the jury from Asia Pacific are Danny Searle (BBDO Asia), Tapas Sen (Radio Mirchi, Entertainment Network, India), Vince Lagana (Leo Burnett Sydney) and Shane Bradnick (DDB New Zealand).
