HK4As Effie Awards Hong Kong reveals 2015 winners: McCann & Spencer wins Grand Effie
18 Awards, including a Grand Effie, 3 Golds, 5 Silvers and 9 Bronzes were presented at Effie gala presentation last night in celebration of winning works that have proven their marketing effectiveness.
The Effie Award is recognized by the marketing industry globally to honor campaigns that demonstrate effectiveness and results. The Hong Kong Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies (HK4As) launched the Effies in Hong Kong since 2004 and is now into its 12th year.
The campaign “Half A Dish” of Café de Coral, done by McCann & Spencer Hong Kong, won the Grand Effie and Gold winner amongst 35 Finalists. It won the heart of the Judges with its effective results and creative means, at the same time with a benevolent cause to reduce food wastage.
The other 2 Golds went to Volkswagen’s “Turning Probationary Drivers into Professional Ones” by DDB Hong Kong, and McDonald’s “Brand Recovery: Repairing a Relationship in 12 weeks” also by DDB Hong Kong.
Creative agencies DDB Group Hong Kong gained the most honors with 8 among the finalists shortlist, Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong with 5.
This year’s panel of 15 judges, comprising professionals in their respective fields of expertise, agreed that agencies, marketers and clients demonstrated their strong will in advancing the creative impetus with ideas that produce effective results.
The Grand Effie, Gold, Silver, Bronze winners and Finalists will be included in the Effie Effectiveness Index, a global ranking which identifies and ranks the most effective marketers, brands by analysing finalist and winner data from worldwide Effie competitions.
