Imagination hires Alistair Wilson in new role of managing director for China based in Shanghai

Alistair Wilson has returned to Imagination’s Asian operations in the new role of Managing Director for China based in Shanghai.

Wilson first joined Imagination London in 1998, before moving to Asia in 2005 to spearhead operations in Hong Kong and Shanghai. In 2010 he joined Imagination Australia. 

As a board director since 2006 Wilson (pictured left) has been integral to Imagination’s growth across the region and most recently Australia where the team recently won the coveted title of Experiential Agency of the Year for 2015.

Simon Bruxner-Randall, CEO, Imagination Asia Pacific said, “During his 17 years with Imagination, Alistair has demonstrated the value of his creative leadership to our clients’ businesses globally. We are delighted he is re-joining the Imagination Asia team to drive our China business from Shanghai and lead our fantastic team to create world class innovative solutions for our clients.”

Wilson’s appointment has seen him hit the ground running, re-shaping the team in China and making a series of team changes and new hires. This includes the senior hire of Mauricio Estrella as Creative Director for Imagination Shanghai’s growing Digital team.

Wilson said, “Mauricio is an exceptional Digital Creative with over 13 years of experience in Storytelling, Digital Design, and Interactive Media. We are delighted to have him join our team as we continue to create incredible and compelling digital experiences for our clients.”
