Hong Kong students vie to become future advertising stars in the HK4As Students’ Award
The Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of Hong Kong (HK4As) has announced 10 outstanding finalists to its 2015 Students’ Award.
HK4As Students’ Award is one of the highlight events of its ongoing education initiatives. This annual competition aims to encourage creativity in the next generation and identify future stars in creative development. HK4As Students’ Award is often seen as the short cut to enter the advertising industry, and it has been widely and enthusiastically supported by institutions as many past winners of the awards today hold key positions in advertising agencies.
This year, the panel of judges is comprised of creative veterans from the advertising industry, Jan Cho (General Manager, TBWA\Hong Kong), Paul Ho (Group Creative Director, Saatchi & Saatchi Hong Kong) and Sammy Lau (Group Creative Director, Dentsu Hong Kong). After careful deliberation, 10 entries have been shortlisted as finalists.

According to James Reeves, Chairman of HK4A’s Creative Committee, this year’s competition theme “2040 Game Over” is a chance for students to consider how destructive human beings’ lifestyle can be to the environment nowadays, and reflect on the existence and value of advertisements.
The award once again received overwhelming response – a total of 173 entries were received this year from 18 educational institutions, including Centennial College, City University of Hong Kong, Community College of City University, Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong Community College, Hong Kong Design Institute, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong,The University of Hong Kong, etc.
The winners of 2015 HK4As Students’ Award will be announced and honoured in the coming HK4As Kam Fan Awards Presentation which will be held on 27th November, 2015.
