Japan scores 8 Gold, 11 Silver and 21 bronze awards at the London International Awards

3 second cooking.jpgAdot_Lights_Green.jpgJapanese agencies have hauled in 8 Gold, 11 Silver and 21 Bronze statues at the London International Awards, announced this morning.

McCann Erickson Japan scored 2 Gold awards both in the Radio & Audio category for All Free’s “Orchestra”.

The other Gold winners are:

ADK Tokyo in Design for Citizen’s “Light is Time”;

Dentsu Inc for Junior Swimming Championships’ “Junior Swimming Championships 1; Junior Swimming Championships 2”;

good design company for “THE”;

Ogilvy & Mather Japan GK for Adot.com’s “Lights” (which also picked up 1 Silver and 4 Bronze statues);

TBWA\Hakuhodo for Wet Suits’ “True Wetsuits”;

and Tokyu Agency Inc. for Advanced LTE Network’s “3-Second Cooking – Shrimp Frying Cannon and Super Fried Dumpling” (also collecting 1 Silver and 3 Bronze).

NAVY.jpgOut of the 11 Silver medals Dentsu and Ogilvy & Mather were awarded three each. Dentsu’s three were all in the Design category for East Japan Railway Company – Get Back, Tohoku, “Get Back, Tohoku. 1; Get Back; Tohoku. 2; Get Back; Tohoku. 3; Get Back; Tohoku. 4; Get Back; Tohoku. 5”, Keio University Faculty of Economics – PEARL’s “Posters; Brand Book; Branded Items; Pamphlet; Brand Movie; Website” (plus 1 Bronze) and ONE SHOW 2014 Awards Exhibition’s “Surprising Manners 1; Surprising Manners 2; Surprising Manners 3; Surprising Manners 4; Surprising Manners 5”. Ogilvy & Mather’s 3 Silvers were for The Fujisan Club’s “Brush” (THE Fujisan Club also collected 4 Bronze), Adot.com’s “Lights” and Yaocho Bars’ “Sleeping Drunks Billboard” (plus 2 Bronze).

Other Silver winners are: ayrcreative Ltd. for Planque’s “Fabric Swatches Calendar, Hakuhodo Kettle for The University of Tsukuba’s Special Needs Schools’ “Eye Play the Piano” (plus 1 Bronze), Katel Seven for “Sho-Ryu (Amami Kokuto Shochu)”, Mori Inc for OK Go’s “I Won’t Let You Down” and Tokyo Agency Inc for Advanced LTE Network’s “3-Second Cooking – Shrimp Frying Cannon and Super Fried Dumpling”.

Overall, Ogilvy & Mather Japan has come out of the London International Advertising Awards with a record of 14 statues with one gold, three silvers, ten bronze and two finalists. This sets a new high for the agency as the most awarded in Japan.
