There are 781 million illiterate people worldwide who cannot even write their own names. How can UNESCO NGO Japan raise awareness and donations for this problem when it is difficult to feel ‘real’? Introducing ‘Donate Your Signature’ created by Beacon/Leo Burnett Tokyo to let you experience the frustration of illiterate people for yourself by creating un-writable receipts out of special paper that repels ink. On the back of the receipt, your signature appears with the message to evoke donations. The unwritable receipts help people write.
