How will Asia Pacific perform at Cannes this year? In the lead up to the Festival, Campaign Brief Asia will be showcasing the work we hope will impress the judges…

Cheil China

There are too many fathers working out of their hometown in China, due to high working pressure, and some of them could not return even in Chinese New Year. The only way to support and communicate with their family is through sending money back home via bank transfer.

CCTV, China’s largest TV network, launched a TV commercial describing the unusual relationship between parents and children during Chinese New Year. In the spot, the little girl imagined the ATM was her father. She plays with the ATM in her dreams and even pictures the ATM, her mother and herself as a happy full family.

The film appeals to the fathers working outside to go home and visit their families more often, because for children, a father should mean far more than just an ATM machine.

When a driver takes a look at his cellphone while driving, all windows of the car become nonexistent, leaving the driver zero awareness of what is on the road. This print ad draws on the extreme danger of being distracted while driving, and reminds all drivers to keep away from their phones when they are behind the wheel.
