Finch’s Patrick Hughes takes out Gold at Ciclope + LIA; wraps up filming The Hitman’s Bodyguard

This past weekend has seen Patrick Hughes, from top Australian production company Finch win Gold in Low Budget at Ciclope, Gold at LIA for Production & Post-Production: Direction for his St Kilda Film Festival trailer, and wrap principal photography on his latest Hollywood blockbuster, “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman and Salma Hayek.

It’s been a big month for the Australian Director that’s shown he’s at ease crafting great stories from budgets big and small, $10k (the cost of St Kilda Film Festival) to $90m.

Based in Melbourne, Hughes is returning home to Australia for most of December and January.

Hughesalso  recently picked up awards at CLIO, again for his St. Kilda Film Festival Trailer, and also won Silver at Ciclope for Best Writing, whilst earlier this year saw him shooting spots for AFL, Tiger and Aust Gov.
