The brand also urged netizens to share their own DIY ideas. The activity, conceptualized with the creative agency, Creativeland Asia, got massive traction with a lot of ideas received.

Sunil Kataria, Business Head – India & SAARC Countries, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd said, “Mumbai has the lowest open space to population ratio in the world: a mere 0.03 acre per 1,000 persons against the international norm of 4 acres per 1,000 people. Sadly, people are not thinking about the future. Thus, Godrej aer, a brand that always believes in keeping the air fresh and taking up contextual issues with, realized that the perfect solution to this issue was starting small by planting a flower in your own homes and offices. Through the launch of our campaign #PlantAFragrance, we are encouraging people to not only get their hands dirty but also keep their environment fresh and clean through the refreshing smell of the flowers.”

Anu Joseph, Chief Creative Officer, Creativeland Asia, added, “Imagine a world where every room is naturally fragrant. This World Environment Day, we wanted people to make a real difference rather than do something momentary. The Godrej aer #PlantAFragrance campaign encourages people to take a step towards a naturally fragrant environment.”

Additionally, the brand also sent out fragrant flower plant and seed papers to different institutions to further amplify the idea.
