Cheelip Ong joins 180.ai China as group CCO

Cheelip Ong.jpg180.ai has appointed Cheelip Ong as its Group Chief Creative Officer overseeing the creative growth and acceleration of its operations as well as new markets development. Prior to his new appointment, Ong (pictured) served as the Greater China Chief Creative Officer for MullenLowe Group and has served as a member of its Global Creative Council.

During his time in China, Ong has managed a diverse portfolio of brands across industry verticals such as JD.COM , DIDI, Minute Maid, Guerlain, Buick, Unilever brands, Tencent, Mengniu, just to name a few.

As a hybrid and digital-first creative leader with over 17 years of integrated advertising experience, Ong has helmed creative departments in markets as diverse as Singapore, Vietnam, Tokyo and China. In the course of his career, he has won advertising awards across multiple categories at international, regional and domestic award shows such as: CLIO Awards, Communication Arts, One Show, AdFest, Spikes, Busan Ad Stars, Global Best Digital Advertising Awards, Creative Circle Awards, China ROI Awards, China Advertising Great Wall Awards, Tiger Roar Awards (China),Red Dot Design Awards, Times Asia-Pacific Awards, China Content Marketing Awards, Effie Greater China Awards, ECI (e-commerce innovation) Awards, IAI International Awards, etc. He also helped break a Guinness World Record for his campaign for Didi App in China.
