Grey Group Hong Kong use computer renderings turning the city into an arena for eSports
Hong Kong Tourism Board brings back the e-Sports & Music Festival (EMFHK).
EMF HK returns this summer with professional gamers competing for glory, while gaming fans get to try their hand on the latest games and enjoy a host of music and entertainment programmes.
This year, Hong Kong Tourism Board launched a video that transformed the whole city into a gaming-inspired arena. Since the event represents an evolution to entertainment, the video visualises an imagined city that has elements of the different games designed into it. Watch to see if you can catch all the elements hidden inside the video related to the e-Sports Tournaments.
Michael Knox, Chief Creative Officer of Grey Hong Kong, said, “As the games enter the city, we wanted our city to enter the games. That’s why, we used computer renderings to turn Hong Kong into an actual arena for eSports. We leveraged Hong Kong elements, like neon signs plus signature streets, and merged it with the gaming worlds of EMFHK.”
Tina Chao, General Manager, Marketing at Hong Kong Tourism Board, added, “eSports has become one of the most popular entertainment for the next generation. As a trendy city, Hong Kong has always introduced new forms of experiences to locals and travellers alike. That’s why this city is the perfect place for this sporting event.
