Thai agencies shine at AdStars Festival with 8 Gold, 29 Silvers and 32 Bronze awards

The Thailand ad industry performed very well at the AdStars awards presentation, held on Saturday night at the BEXCO Convention Centre in Busan, South Korea. Overall Thailand agencies scored 1 Grand Prix, 8 Gold, 29 Silver and 32 Bronze awards.
2 Golds went to BBDO Bangkok for their Thai Air Asia print ad titled “The Beach”. The ad won in the Print Craft category and the Print Product category. BBDO also won 8 Silver and 7 Bronzes.
GreynJ United Bangkok’s “Friendshit” work for Kasikornbank Public Company Limited won a Grand Prix in Branded Content and a Craft Gold for Direction. The agency also came away from the awards presentation with 2 Silvers and 4 Bronzes.
Ogilvy Group Thailand picked up 3 Golds with 2 going to “The Secret” for Monde Nission in the Film Product & Service category and for Direction in Film Craft.
Their other Gold was awarded to IKEA “Dragon” in the Outdoor Craft category. 8 Silver and 6 Bronzes also were won by Ogilvy to conclude a strong result for the agency.
TBWA Thailand also scored 2 Golds – both for McDonald’s “Late Night – The Meeting” in the Print Product & Service and for Art Direction in the Print Craft categories. TBWA also were awarded 10 Silver awards and 6 Bronzes.
Other award winning agencies from Thailand were J. Walter Thompson (3 Silver and 7 Bronze) and Sour Bangkok (1 Silver), Choojai and Friends (4 Crystal), and Dentsu One Bangkok (1 Bronze, 1 Silver).
The AdStars Indernational Advertising Festival this year attracted 20,342 entries from 57 countries.
