Nando’s celebrates women who have #MadeitHerself

Respect and equality takes the spotlight as Nando’s joins the world in celebrating women and their achievements in conjunction with International Women’s Day.

Nando’s South African roots has influenced its strong culture of equality, inclusion and diversity among its employees. Recognising the accomplishments of strong women is just one of the ways Nando’s stays true to their heritage.

“We have always believed in the strength of diversity, benefits of equality and overall richness of being inclusive. Women have long been in positions of leadership at Nando’s, not just in Malaysia but globally as well. In Malaysia 48% of our leadership roles are held by amazing women. This International Women’s Day, we are proud to have a voice and show recognition, support and celebrate all women,” said Mac Chung Lynn, Group CEO of Nando’s Malaysia and Singapore.

Women today are in a much better position than ever before. However, there’s still much progress to be made in terms of stereotypical scenarios they often endure. Among the most common misconceptions faced by women is that their successes were never earned – such as assuming they’re from a wealthy background or to have married up.

Nando’s looks to address these stereotypes through a video in support of the #MadeitHerself campaign created by its social media agency, Fishermen Integrated Malaysia and produced by Directors Think Tank. The video sends the message that women are capable of achieving success on their own and ‘make-it’ through their own achievements.
