Cheil Worldwide has seven jury members at Cannes Lions 2019
The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has announced the full jury members chosen to award and celebrate the best creative work at the 66th edition of the Festival.
Seven creatives and executives of Cheil Worldwide were named as juries for Cannes Lions 2019. The number of jury members is by far the largest in the agency network’s history. Cheil Worldwide had its first Cannes Lions jury in 1993, and has produced juries for last 12 straight years from 2008 to 2019.
The 2019 Cannes Lions jury members from Cheil Worldwide:
Industry Craft Lions – Pully Chau, Group CEO, Cheil Worldwide, Greater China (pictured above)
With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Pully was named China Adman of the Year and 30 Outstanding People over 30 Years of China Advertising by the China Advertising Association.
Innovation Lions – Bill Yom (Jury President), Global Creative Director, Cheil Worldwide (pictureda bove right)
Yom works on global campaigns for Samsung having previously led on “Dot. The first ever Braille Smartwatch” which won Product Design, Innovation and Health & Wellness Lions.
Titanium Lions – Malcolm Poynton, Global Chief Creative Officer, Cheil Worldwide
A two time Cannes Lions Jury President, Malcolm’s international industry accolades number more than 300, including Cannes Lions for Film, Print, Media, Outdoor, Cyber, Glass and Mobile.
Digital Craft Lions – Jax Jung, Global Creative Director, Cheil Worldwide (pictured above left)
Jax works on global campaigns for Samsung having previously worked on “Look at Me” which won Cyber, Mobile, PR and Health/Pharma Lions.
Also, Cheil has 3 shortlist juries – Seulki Lee, Creative Director, Cheil Worldwide, South Korea and Ioana Zamfir, Creative Director, Centrade Cheil, Romania for Direct Lions, and Flip Sorée, Head of Creative, Cheil Worldwide, China for Brand Experience & Activation Lions.
Yom said, “It is a blessing to fulfill the role of jury president for one of the most challenging categories at Cannes Lions on behalf of agencies in Korea. Due to broad interpretation of innovation itself, my focus will be on the core of the idea. I look forward to getting inspired by other jury members.”
