FCB Interface India’s ‘The Punishing Signal’ wins Silver and 2 Bronze in 2021 Cannes Lions Outdoor
FCB Interface India has added 3 more Lions to their haul with a strong performance in the Outdoor category. These were Asia’s only awards in this category.
‘The Punishing Signal’ campaign for Mumbai Police, created by FCB Interface India, has scored a Silver Lion and 2 Bronze Lions.
On day one of Cannes “The Punishing Signal’ has won 5 Lions. It was awarded a Gold Lion and a Silver Lion in the Health & Wellness category under the category description Non-profit / Foundation-led Education & Awareness. The campaign also won a Silver Lion and 2 Bronze Lion this Outdoor category under the category description Ambient Outdoor, Single-market Campaign, and Social Behaviour. The campaign also secured a shortlist in the Health & Wellness category.
In total 64 Lions were awarded in Outdoor with Burger King’s ‘Moldy Whopper’ taking out the Grand Prix award.
The Outdoor Lions, which celebrate ideas that leverage public spaces to communicate a message or immerse consumers in a brand experience, saw 2,052 entries from which the jury awarded three Grands Prix, as well as 13 Gold, 21 Silver, and 27 Bronze Lions.
The Grand Prix went to: Burger King’s campaign ‘Day 35’, ‘Day 28’, ‘Day 32’ created by Burger King, Miami / INGO, Stockholm / DAVID, Miami / Publicis Romania, Bucharest; as well as Publicis Italy, Milan, for Heineken’s ‘Shutter Ads’; and Publicis Conseil, Paris, France, for ‘Renault – Village Electrique’.
