Kung-Fu Fighters battle it out in latest Time DotCom CNY film shot by Zaim Rosli for Fishermen Integrated Malaysia
Directors Think Tank director Zaim Rosli recently collaborated with Fishermen Intergrated on the latest TIME dotCom CNY film.
Malaysians love Kung-Fu movies. Kung Fu Heroes flying from bamboo forest to open skies in a series of gravity defying moves. All these made possible with stunt crew and strong cables. Just like TIME dotCom fibre internet, it is strong, reliable and supported by a responsive customer service crew.
Time dotCom’s action packed Kabel Besar film features 2 Kung-Fu Fighters engaging in a series of fights to determine who is the strongest. Our main hero uses Time’s strong cable, Kabel Besar, and it’s stunt crew to defeat the villain, who humbly accepts its defeat.
The script definitely has its challenges, from stunt team to post production, but thanks to Director’s Think Tank fantastic support and Zaim, the director, they have brought the script to life. Zaim not only captures the idea and the agency’s vision, he took it even further and added his touches to it. Being a Kung Fu fan himself no doubt helps his craft as well.

“I have always been a big fan of Chinese fighting movie/series. When I was a kid, I would make sure I was in front of the TV at the scheduled time for my favorite tv series, Strom Rider. I was amazed with the action where everyone can fight and fly in the air, I really thought it was real,” said Zaim Rosli, Director, Directors Think Tank
“When I read the script for TIME Kabel Besar, I already had the imagination that I wanted to make this spot genre mixed with fantasy and reality. Thanks to the creative team from Fishermen Integrated, they gave me the chance to bring the fantasy into the story. I was so trilled, and I asked them this question, “Is the sky the limit?” and they replied, “Only the budget is the limit”. Thus, it trigged my imagination for the fight scene originally should be shot on the ground, but I brought it above the sky.
“This is my first time shooting with stuntman using wire rig most of the time and a huge green matte as a background. Thank you to the creative agency for giving 172% trust to us in order to execute my vision for this commercial. It was a fun project, and I learned a lot throughout the process,” said Rosli, Director.
“What a great brief! I am also a big Kung Fu fan and could only marvel on how ‘spot-on’ our director Zaim was with the visuals and dialogue, and thank you to the guys at Fishermen Intergrated for letting Zaim have the creative freedom to bring his dreams to life,” added Stephen Douglas, Executive Director, Directors Think Tank.
